THE EVENT

From 6 to 9 November 2025, the SIFO 2025 National Congress transformed the Porto Antico Congress Centre in Genoa into the beating heart of Italian hospital pharmacy. The four-day event featured discussions, training sessions and high-value scientific content, with over 3,000 participants, including hospital pharmacists, healthcare professionals and industry stakeholders.

This was a pivotal event for the SIFO community, made even more dynamic by a robust digital and interactive element that enhanced the engagement with the content and participation of those in attendance.

AIM Group International selected us to oversee the entire technical and digital infrastructure of the congress, including content production, user experience, on-site services and advanced interaction platforms.

THE TECHNICAL PROJECT

In order to support such a complex event, we deployed 20 specialised technicians across eight rooms simultaneously. This ensured constant coordination, continuous supervision and rapid response times.

We managed participant accreditation and conference content, video recording and streaming, remote speaker management, broadcasting and digital signage as a single integrated, fluid and secure system.

GREEN INNOVATIONS FOR 2025

1. The surprise: BuzerBit, the new interactive game

During one of the most popular moments, the SIFO stage played host to the debut of BuzerBit, our new gamified quiz system with physical buttons.

It was an instant success, with the room full of energy and total engagement.

2. Authorization Center

Transitioning from paper to digital releases: management, archiving and signing. A digital, paperless system for managing speaker releases that is integrated directly into the slide centre. There is no need for printing or paper forms anymore: everything is fast, traceable and under control at all times, resulting in significant time and resource savings during the event.

3. Audio ePoster via QR Code

The audio e-posters could be enjoyed without headphones by simply scanning the QR code on the monitor. This solution was more convenient, hygienic and environmentally friendly, reducing consumption and single-use materials.

The digital component played a central role. SlideBit© ensured the precise management of over 1,169 presentations, and the App Event Tool© app became the main access point for the programme, voting, Q&As, surveys, and simultaneous translation.

Thanks to its integration with Metrics, WH Factory’s proprietary software suite, the app displayed digital badges, personal data and attendance information in a simple and straightforward manner.

Meanwhile, the e-poster area collected 208 contributions, five INFObit© stations provided real-time updates and self-service accreditation ensured fast and orderly processes, alongside computerised systems for lunch boxes and access.

These three days saw technology, people and organisation working in perfect synergy to demonstrate what it means to run a major scientific event where every detail is connected.

What was the result?

It was a smooth, modern, highly interactive conference. Data, content, rooms and people worked in perfect synchrony, thanks to solid technical infrastructure and a digital ecosystem designed to simplify processes, facilitate connections and encourage engagement.
