From 15 to 17 February 2021, the IFCC Global Conference on Covid-19 was held entirely online. The “International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine” based the event’s content on the key strategic role played by Clinical Labs during the Pandemic brought about by the Sars Virus Cov2.
A deciding factor in the near perfect outcome of the event was the partnership between the MZ Congressi Organising Office and Tecnoconference with its Technology and Project Management Consultancy.

A virtual international event in the true sense of the word. On-line management ensured access to countries that are generally scarcely involved. The pandemics’ real challenge, however, made way for some encouraging points that can be explored in the coming years, when a hybrid formula can ensure greater access to the in-formative content of this and other events.

Thanks to a “symbiotic” partnership with the Organising Office managed by MZ Congressi, we provided stable and high-performance access to the event’s content, with a robust connection and with the use of our Livebit platform, which allowed full use of the online content, also operating as the Conference website.
The ongoing dialogue and the professional and friendly relationship with the staff of the Organising Office were vital. In a virtual event, the need for this steady exchange is crucial to overcome the obstacles posed by distance.
85% of participants found it “very” or “extremely” easy to use our Livebit platform, a tool that, from a technical point of view, supported the infrastructure of the entire virtual event.
