Organized by the European University Institute (EUI), SOU “The State of the Union” is among the most important institutional events at the European level. This 12th edition also took place in Florence May 5-7, 2022, in a hybrid format with speakers from around the world, in-person and online. A great opportunity for all leading figures from the European community to discuss the current situation and future issues of global relevance.
A technical and organizational test of the highest level, with 135 speakers, 43 sessions, 40 hours of registration, 5 general streaming streams, and an international audience with over 500 live participants during the two days of sessions and more than 10,000 online on the event’s digital platform and official EUI YouTube channel.

A hybrid international event that posed great technical challenges to which we responded with the utmost competence in terms of human and technological resources, with flawless PA systems and audio management.
NATIONALITIES
The melting pot of nationalities required a truly complex simultaneous translation system, with qualified native professionals and soundproof booths in accordance with ISO 4043 for the highest level of translation and interpreting services.
HOURS OF RECORDING TIME
Our video director meticulously documented the proceedings of the events by recording them in full, as well as taking care of the filming in the auditorium for the screenings.
LIVE STREAMING USERS
As the Hybrid & Virtual Specialist, we managed a large live stream by recording and broadcasting the entire event in real time. Thanks to our direction based on the use of ZOOM™ software we also allowed to the external speakers (14%) to actively partecipate by videoconference.
