The 2021 edition of the Annual Meeting of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) and the International Society of Hipertension (ISH) took place fully online, from 11 to 14 April. Yet again, the partnership of AIM Group International Full PCO in charge of the event organisation and TC Group as Technology Partner of the joint event is a success. In addition to the scientific aspect, of course, the online event offered a range of organisational ideas, linked to both technology and other aspects, which were very valuable for event organisers.
The event also showed that the use of online live broadcasting can expand the number of participants worldwide. The past edition of the event was attended by 3000+ participants. This year’s online and onsite attendance was 5,400+ with 1,000+ over 35s and huge increases in participants from India. The future of events may be ever more hybrid, providing both the on-site experience, when it is again possible, and the online one, reaching the widest possible audience.

The live streaming was conducted in multiple languages with English/Chinese interpreters connected from three countries (UK, Switzerland and Italy).
