THE EVENT
The 42nd Annual Assembly of ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities) was held in Bologna from 12 to 14 November 2025, confirming its status as the most important institutional event for local administrators in the country. The three-day event brought together the highest officials of the state, ministers and thousands of mayors, focusing on the debate on issues crucial to the future of Italian municipalities.

THE TECNOCONFERENCE CONTRIBUTION
Tecnoconference won the tender to manage the Assembly’s entire audio, video and lighting infrastructure, as well as its IT systems. The event’s vast scale and institutional importance required impressive and complex technical implementation, which was guaranteed by an on-site team of over 55 specialised technicians, coordinated by Alessandro Borgioni (BU Manager Walkin) in the role of Technical Director.

THE CHALLENGE
Alessandro Borgioni tells us that the main challenge was to combine the vastness and technological complexity of the oversized installation — particularly the 43-metre LED structure — with the security and reliability requirements imposed by the presence of the highest State officials, including 14 ministers and 90 speakers. Crucially, it was necessary to ensure the seamless management of 20 hours of live streaming and the coordination of 24 rooms and ancillary areas, as well as the flawless provision of LED structures dedicated to entities such as RAI and the Ministry of Culture.
What was the result?
The Anci2025 Assembly exceeded all expectations, with record numbers of attendees (over 20,000) and online participants (45,000 unique users). From a technical point of view, the event was notable for its effective management of extraordinary complexity, with a stage design that enhanced the high-level debate and offered all stakeholders and the 424 exhibition stands a smooth, engaging and memorable experience. Alessandro concludes that the competence and cohesion of the Walkin Team were crucial to the success — an impeccable team, the same one that organised the G7 Summit Italy 2024.
